Security and Updates

Red Hat releases errata to address bugs, provide enhancements, or to fix security vulnerabilities. With each erratum we supply an advisory to give details of the issues being fixed as well as how to obtain and install the required software packages. Links to the advisories for our products can be found below.

Security Errata are managed by the Red Hat Security Response Team. Find out how to tell us about a security issue you have found, or how to get notified when new issues are found.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux

To facilitate customer maintenance cycles, bug fixes and enhancement errata for Red Hat Enterprise Linux errata are batched together into periodic "Updates". Security Errata are the only errata released independent of these Updates. To minimize the impact of Security Errata we have a policy of backporting security fixes whenever possible.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux has fixed life cycles to enable customers and partners to plan their resources, certifications and implementations accordingly. Please review the full Errata Policy.
